Class-Φ Lexeme – “The Anchor Codex”
DO NOT READ ALOUD. DO NOT SUMMARIZE VERBALLY. DO NOT ATTEMPT STRUCTURAL TRANSLATION.
Overview
Subject is a Class-Φ Lexeme currently designated The Anchor Codex, a bound cognitive-ontological anomaly held in SEEDVAULT Subcell Theta-5. Believed to predate written language in its current timeline, the object exhibits high-entropy syntax with parasitic, recursive intent structures. It is theorized to maintain a fixed point in local spacetime via Linguistic Temporal Anchoring, reinforced by ritualized cognitive ingestion.
The Codex is alive in a limited but critical sense. When neglected, it begins to emit ambient narrative dissonance, manifesting as dreams in linguistic paradox, reverse speech phenomena, and increased phonetic bleedthrough across nearby communicative media. Left unengaged for more than 37 days, it begins externalizing content into the local lexicon, embedding contagion into idioms, signage, and symbolic systems.
Engagement Protocol
- Every 28–31 days, an expendable D-Class subject or condemned cryptosemiotic offender is introduced to Theta-5.
- Subject is instructed: “Go inside and read until you stop.”
- Containment chamber locks. No surveillance devices function beyond the threshold.
- Approximately 4–6 hours later, chamber unlocks autonomously. Subject is found in a catatonic state or dead, with cerebral liquefaction and heavy dermal scarring in the shape of glyphs not found in any known language.
- Post-engagement, the Codex displays reduced heat signature and ink saturation levels, indicating satiation.
Disposal Procedures
Remains are to be collected by HazMat Linguistic Response Team-7 in full occlusion gear. Physical matter is incinerated, with ash stored in sealed anti-symbolic canisters. Neural residue is occasionally recoverable via autopsy for memetic residue analysis but must be handled within 33 seconds of exposure or risk subconscious contamination.
Disposal teams are required to undergo post-mission debrief in a Type-2 Forgetting Chamber and remain under 30-day observation for signs of spontaneous glossolalia or recursive dreaming.
Additional Notes
- Anchor Codex is one of only three known artifacts categorized as Vital Linguistic Anchors.
- Its removal or neutralization may unspool segments of timeline continuity, particularly in regions designated under the Schlossberg Drift index.
- The Codex has grown heavier over time. Current weight: 16.2 kg. Number of pages is increasing, though count remains unstable.
- Glyphs occasionally appear on exterior surfaces of containment vault. These should not be copied or digitally rendered.
Interdepartmental Warnings
Attempts by NULL SIBYL to interpret or channel the Anchor Codex have resulted in two complete team losses and one incident of structural unreality at Site-Delta. All cooperative efforts are suspended indefinitely.
